To the table I bring
some zest and some zing;
a meal on a plate
so please don't be late!
The food will impress,
as your tastebuds caress
the hot flaming spice
all flavoured and nice.
Now, don't be afraid
for it's zingfully made!
De, at dverse poets, has prompted us to pen a 44 word quadrille, which must contain the word 'zing' in some form or another. Here's the link: Poems with Zing
MAN, does this look and SOUND delish! Well spilled!

Thanks, De and thanks for the zingy prompt! :D
DeleteI enjoyed the jauntiness of the rhyming couplets, Carol, and the alliterative ‘some zest and some zing’.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim! I like spicy food but not too hot!
DeleteOoh! Now my tastebuds are tingling in anticipation! Carol, what a zingy write!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Punam! :D
DeleteProbably too hot for my taste buds, but I loved your poem, Carol!

I must admit I don't like it too spicy as well. Thanks, Yvette!
