Awaiting Summer...

 Summer is still to come

yet daffodils are in flower

amongst the sand dunes

where old bulbs have been dumped.

It's not officially Spring yet either

but it's warm and the days are

blue skyed and sun tinted.

Bare footed, I dance through winter.

De, at dverse poets, has prompted us to pen a 44 word quadrille which must include the word 'summer'.

    1. We get all kinds of flowers springing up in our sand dunes. People just dump their garden rubbish there, even though they are not supposed to. It can be rather pretty.

    1. Where I live we have protected sand dunes which have grasses growing and other shrubbery, to help hold the dunes together. They stretch for miles and often folk will put their garden waste on the dunes. Hence the daffodils etc that spring up all by themselves! ;D

  6. Dancing barefoot through winter is the mark of a woman sustained by her own inner fire! Is that you, Gillena?
Lovely images to wrap myself in, in intermediate weather today (although I have bright yellow trousers on)!
