A will-o'-a-wisp flittered,
barely noticeable,
along the lines between
spaces that were reserved
for such a flittering.
A figment of imagination,
took hold of the reins
allowing words to form
one after another
swirling and twirling
until finally sleep quietened
the writer's soul...
Lillian, at dverse poets, has set the challenge for us to pen a 44 word quadrille, which must contain the word 'figment'.
Here's the link: Figment of a Quadrille
You had me with the first line! And then words flittering and swirling and twirling until sleep quiets the soul. LOVE the image you've used as well!
